I'm really big now!

Hi Everyone!

So sorry it's taken me so long to write. I've been so busy and I'm keeping mom and dad so busy that it's been hard to find the time!

The biggest news is that I turned 1 on August 7th. Now that I'm nearly a grown-up, I've really developed a personality and an attitude. I really like to be my own person and don't want anyone telling me "no." I'm at a stage where I can't quite communicate how I'd like to, either. I know what I want, but I don't know the right words to say to get it. So I just yell as loud as possible until someone figures it out. Mom and Dad don't like it very much. Other than that, I'm still as cute as ever and figuring out new things every day. I'm really close to walking and will stand on my own, but can't quite get the courage to take a step...plus I'm a little wobbly.

Mom and Dad threw me a birthday party at the park, and it was so much fun. I had almost all of my friends there and we just played and played. I got a lot of really fun toys, too, that help me learn animal noises and other things.

I started talking a lot and saying new words, but in the last two weeks I've decided that it was too much work to do that, so I reverted back to saying "Mommy" for everything. "Mommy", to me, means "I want." Mom and Dad wish that would quit too.

Anyway, just a couple updates. I will try my best to write soon! Make some comments--I would love to hear from you!

Love,

Haven Mae

I'm a busy baby!!

Hello Everyone!!

Mom and Dad have really been slacking in getting me to post a new blog. Finally, we're able to sit down and write one. I hope everyone is doing really well! So much is happening here. I've hit so many mile stones. I'm crawling really fast and pulling myself up and walking along furniture. I love to wave at people and I'm learning Patty-cake, my favorite game. I'm no longer interested in baby food because it's so bland and I HAVE to feed myself. I'm really independent and mom and dad wish I would wait until I'm 18 to be independent because they think it will be a good quality when I'm older, but they're scared for it while I'm still in the house.

I'm really enjoying summer. Nana and Papa (daddy's parents) just bought me a new baby carrier for behind the bike. I'm not sure how I like it, yet, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. Mom and Dad also bought a motor for their bicycle. It's really funny looking when they ride it, but it gets good gas mileage, which I hear is important right now.

I have really been talking a lot and I know some words. I don't speak them quite yet, but I definitely know my name and who the puppies and the kitty are. I know mama and daddy, too. I have really grown lots of hair and mom puts really pretty barrettes in it, but I hate it when she does that.

Anyway, I hope you all really enjoy the pictures that I post. Hopefully it will be sooner than later that I post again!!

Love you all!!!

So much has happened!

Well, here I am again, finally! We've just been so busy with everything--traveling, especially. Since I wrote last, we've been in Florida and Fargo to visit family and for a little rest for mom and dad. We visited Nana and Papa in Ft Myers, FL and got to do all sorts of things like deep sea fishing and a pre-season Twins game. It was a lot of fun.
Mom also got a new job at Wells Fargo, which she's really excited about. The best part is that mom gets to take a little time off before she starts, to spend with me! I have to go to daycare May 1st and mom and I are both really dreading it. We really wish there was a way that mom could take care of me, so mom and dad and really trying to figure it out. The new job with Wells Fargo should be really good, though, because it's really flexible and mom gets to make her own hours. So hopefully we'll be getting the best of both worlds.

Since I wrote last, I've really mastered sitting up on my own, which is nice because now I can really play by myself. I've really gotten my own personality, too, which is happy (for the most-part) but I also have quite a feisty quality about me, as well, that mom and dad are worried about. I also roll around quite a bit and am really good about playing on my own and entertaining myself, but I still really like to cling to mom. We're really worried about that, because of me having to go to daycare since I don't want mom to leave my sight. Hopefully the time off that mom has will allow us to work on me getting used to other people.
Oh, and you'll see in one of the pictures that I went on my first hike! It was cold (20 degrees), but I had so much fun!! I think I'm going to be an outdoors girl!
Well that's all for now. Hopefully I'll be able to write again soon! Miss and Love all of you!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it's been so long since I've written. Mom and Dad and I have been so busy all the time I never have time to post new pictures. I know the reqest is out there from a lot of you for me to post again, so here we are...

I'm growing so much and learning new things. I'm now eating solid (well kind of solid) foods. I really like squash and applesauce. It's hard to learn how to swallow to get it down my throat but I'm getting it now. I really like it. New flavors are a lot of fun. I tried peaches the other day and they were too strong for me. I made a lot of funny faces. I don't think we'll try that again for awhile.

I'm still spitting up A LOT and mom and dad and I get really tired of it. We have to do a lot of laundry, and not just mine, mom's too. I like to get her with my spit up many times a day while we're at work. She get's frustrated because she has a permanent smell of vomit. She says she doesn't like that scent very much.

I'm really communicating now...talking and complaining. I make the fun baby sounds a lot and have recently learned how to make raspberries with my mouth. Mom and dad comment a lot on how much I've grown and developed, but also think I'm pretty petite for my age. I'm just a little girl, what can I say??

I get to make my first airplane trip soon to see my Nana and Papa in Florida. We're all really excited to go. It's been a long time since Mom and Dad have been to a nice warm place and I've never been there. I can't wait to see Nana and Papa.

This weekend we're going to Fairmont, Montana to go to the hotsprings and to go skiing with Daddy's work. Every year they go on a trip to Fairmont for a CTA retreat. It should be a lot of fun.

Have fun looking at my pictures. I sure have gotten more of a "little girl" look now, which has changed a lot from my "newborn" look. Thanks for checking up on me!

Grandparents, Baptism, and lots of firsts!

Hello!

So much has happened since my last post. So I'll just get started right away.

This last weekend was my baptism. It was really great. I just relaxed and soaked it all in. My godparents are Cory Wynn and my aunt Jamie Kiner. I had so much fun with all my family here. All of my daddy's immediate family came and my my Grandpa and Grandma came from Fargo with my aunts and uncle. Mom and Dad's best friends Cory and Alyssa drove from Fargo, as well. It was so much fun, but so busy and wild! Luckily, Mom and Dad had the basement almost complete so that we could have people hang out and sleep downstairs. Mom also bought Dad a ping pong table so we didn't see Dad much this last weekend. :)

Let's see, we also had everyone here for Thanksgiving dinner. That was fun, too. I got to have almost all my loved ones around me for my first Thanksgiving!

Since my last blog, I also ate my very first rice cereal. It's pretty good. I'm not too good and swallowing thicker food, yet, but I'm getting it. Hopefully, eating rice cereal before bed will help me to sleep through the night. Oh, and I rolled over for the first time-but it was by accident. I haven't done it since, but I'm working on doing it again soon!

Something that happened that's not been as fun is I got sick for the first time this week. I think it was because we had so many people and germs around and I'm overtired. I have a really stuffy nose and a little fever. Mom and Dad wonder if I might be teething, but it's probably too early for that. It's hard for me to tell them what's wrong, so I just have been crying a lot.

Thanks for checking my blog again! Keep checking for updates!

Love, Haven Mae
